NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION TO BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR SPANISH NATIONALITY BY RESIDENCE
Necessary documents to apply for the Spanish nationaly for adults in any case:
1. Standard application form.
2. Identity card of foreigner.
Family card of citizen of the European Union or Certificate of the Central Registry of Foreigners or the Registry of citizen of the Union.
3. Full and valid passport of the country of origin.
4. Birth certificate of the interested party, duly translated and legalized.
5. Criminal record certificate from your country of origin,
translated and legalized, in accordance with existing international agreements or consular certificate of conduct issued based on consultation with the competent authorities of the country of origin.
6. Marriage certificate if the applicant is married.
7. Proof of payment of the fee.
8. Criminal record certificate from the Central Register of convicts.
It can be replaced by the authorization to consult the Ministry of Justice recorded in the application form.
9. Registration certificate (“certificado de empadronamiento” in Spanish).
It can be replaced by the authorization to consult the Ministry of Justice recorded in the application form.
10. Title issue by the Cervantes Institute,
with the constitutional and sociocultural knowledge test (CCSE) and the Spanish language knowledge test (DELE). It can be replaced by the authorization to consult the Ministry of Justice set forth in the application form. In the case of nationals of a country in which Spanish is an official language, exempt from taking the DELE exam in accordance with the Nationality Regulations by residence, valid passport or nationality certificate attesting to the exemption.
Likewise, knowledge of the Spanish language may be accredited by means of the contribution of the official certificates of the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, the certificates of Aptitude and the Academic Certifications of the elementary cycle, issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, Competent ministries of the CC. AA, or Official Language Schools, in accordance with current legislation.
