In the present blog, we are going to continue listing the different options that an investor interested in obtaining the investor visa has when making an investment in Spain and thus obtaining the Golden Visa:
3. INVESTMENT FUNDS (FONDOS DE INVERSIÓN)
Invest one (1) million euros in investment funds, closed-end investment funds or venture capital funds established in Spain
The cases that may give rise to a residence authorization based on the constitution of an investment fund are reflected in Law 13/2014, as well as its correct accreditation. In relation to this last specification, it is determined that it must be carried out by presenting the certificate of the fund management company, incorporated in Spain, duly registered with the National Securities Market Commission, indicating that said funds are of a closed nature or Venture capital Funds constituted in Spain, included within the scope of application of Law 35/2003, of November 4, on Collective Investment Institutions, or Law 22/2014, of November 12. In turn, it must reflect that the investment has been made within the last year and for an initial amount equal to or greater than one million euros.
If the investment is made in different funds, the amounts can be added.
The certificate is valid for 30 days from its issuance.
If the investment has been of 1 million euros and has been subsequently devalued in the "Stock Market", it is accepted for the amount initially invested, if the amount invested has been voluntarily reduced, no.
In the case of investment in investment funds, closed-end investment funds or venture capital funds established in Spain, a certificate from the fund management company, incorporated in Spain, duly registered with the National Securities Market Commission, will be presented. , which states that the interested party has made an investment of at least one million euros in a fund or funds under their management.
4. BANK DEPOSITS IN SPANISH FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
Invest One million euros in bank deposits in Spanish financial institutions.
Certificate from the financial institution in which it is verified that the applicant is the sole holder of the bank deposit, that it has been made a minimum investment of €1,000,000 and that the investment has been made within the last year. The certificate must be dated within 30 days prior to the submission of the application.
In the case of investment in a bank deposit, a certificate from the financial institution will be presented stating that the applicant is the sole owner of the bank deposit.
5. REAL ESTATE ASSET
The acquisition of real estate in Spain with an investment of value equal to or greater than 500,000 euros.
The applicant must prove that they have an investment in real estate of 500,000 euros free of all charges or encumbrances. If the investment exceeds the required amount, the surplus may be subject to a charge or tax.
6. BUSINESS PROJECT
A business project that is going to be developed in Spain and that is considered and accredited as being of general interest for Spain, for which compliance with at least one of the following conditions will be assessed:
- Creation of jobs.
- Making an investment with a significant socioeconomic impact in the geographical area in which the activity will be carried out.
- Relevant contribution to scientific and/or technological innovation.
It is possible that a representative, designated by the investor and duly accredited, may be able obtain a residence visa for investors to manage a project of general interest as long as the project meets the conditions.
A favourable report must be presented to verify that the business project presented contains reasons of general interest. The report will come from the Economic and Commercial Office of the geographical demarcation area where the investor submits the visa application.
If the investor appoints a representative to manage the business project and in order for him to obtain the investor residence visa, the report from the Economic and Commercial Office will be assessed together with the requirements established in article 63.2.c. ) the need for said representative to intervene for the proper management of the business project.
The representative must certify before the Consular Office that he meets the requirements established in the Law.
